A railway traveling ticket examiner (TTE) pushed 40 year old woman off running train and he is facing serious allegations of attempted murder following a harrowing incident involving a woman being forcefully pushed out of a moving train. The shocking event unfolded on the evening of February 29, as recounted by officials from the Faridabad railway police. The victim, identified as Bhavna, a 40-year-old daily wage earner residing in Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Nagar in Sector-48 of Faridabad, was embarking on a journey to Jhansi with a general class ticket in hand.
As the train, identified as the Jhelum Express, prepared to depart, Bhavna found herself in a rush to board. In a moment of haste, she entered an air-conditioned (AC) coach instead of her designated general class compartment. This seemingly innocuous error would soon turn into a nightmare. Allegedly, a TTE on duty approached her and, without warning, forcefully threw her baggage out of the moving train. In a shocking escalation, the same individual proceeded to push Bhavna out of the train’s door.
The consequences of this brutal act were dire. Bhavna suffered severe leg fractures upon impact with the platform and the train’s surroundings, leaving her in excruciating pain and trapped in the gap between the moving train and the station platform. Fortunately, alert passengers acted swiftly, pulling the emergency chain to halt the train and rush to Bhavna’s aid. Emergency services were summoned, and Bhavna was promptly transported to the ESIC hospital in Faridabad, where she underwent urgent surgery to address her grievous injuries. Thankfully, her condition has since stabilized, albeit she continues to face a long road to recovery.
In the wake of this appalling incident, the Faridabad railway police launched a thorough investigation. An FIR was promptly filed against the unidentified TTE under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code, citing attempted murder. The gravity of the accusations has prompted authorities to exert significant efforts in identifying and bringing the perpetrator to justice. Cooperation with railway officials is underway to ascertain the identity of the TTE assigned to the train on the fateful day, with assurances from law enforcement that necessary actions will be taken swiftly and decisively.
This egregious act has not only left Bhavna physically scarred but has also cast a shadow of fear and uncertainty over the safety of railway passengers. As the investigation unfolds, authorities are under mounting pressure to ensure accountability and uphold the trust and integrity of the railway system.
