Tamil actor Daniel Balaji dies of heart attack in Chennai at the age of 48

Tamil actor Daniel Balaji passed away on the night of March 29 due to a heart attack at a private hospital in Chennai. He had complained of chest pain earlier that day and was rushed to a hospital in Kottivakam, where despite receiving treatment, he could not be saved. His body has been taken to his residence in Purasaiwalkam for his final rites. At 48 years old, his sudden demise has shocked both his fans and the Tamil film industry. Many actors, directors, and producers from the Tamil film industry are expected to pay their last respects to him today, March 30.

Following the news of Daniel Balaji’s demise, his admirers and acquaintances expressed their astonishment and sorrow on social media platforms. Balaji was renowned for portraying villainous characters in movies, with his portrayal of Amudhan in Gautham Menon and Kamal Haasan’s ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ being particularly notable as one of Tamil cinema’s iconic antagonist roles. Further details about his cremation are awaited.

Director Mohan Raja paid tribute to Balaji and wrote that he was his inspiration to join the film institute.
