Weeks before the elections, authorities discovered over 770 kilograms of explosives at the residence of a local leader affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Kerala

In a recent operation, the Kerala Police discovered a significant cache of 770 kg of explosives at the residences of a local RSS leader and a relative in Poyiloor, Kannur district. The leader, Vadakayil Pramod, is currently evading authorities.

The operation, led by Kolavalloor Police, was initiated based on confidential information, resulting in the substantial seizure, according to police sources.

Initial investigations suggest that the explosives were intended for illegal distribution, prompting legal action. This development has sparked concerns among locals, particularly with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Last year, there was a similar incident where a youth associated with RSS suffered severe injuries while making a bomb near Eranjolipalam in Kannur.
