”Partner murdered for not making Egg curry”
The Gurugram Police have taken into custody the live-in partner of a woman who was tragically murdered in an unfinished house located in Chauma village. Identified as Lallan Yadav, aged 35, he confessed during the course of interrogation to his involvement in the crime, citing alcohol-induced aggression as a contributing factor.
According to police reports, the incident unfolded when Yadav, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, engaged in a heated altercation with the victim after she declined his request to prepare egg curry for him. This disagreement quickly escalated into violence, with Yadav purportedly resorting to the use of both a hammer and a belt to inflict fatal injuries upon the victim.
Originally hailing from Aurahi village in Bihar’s Madhepura district, Yadav was apprehended by law enforcement officials from the Palam Vihar Police Station in Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan area. The victim, identified as Anjali, aged 32 and employed as a ragpicker, was discovered deceased within the premises of the under-construction building on a Wednesday.
The attention of the authorities was drawn to the scene when the caretaker of the building reported the discovery of the body. It’s worth noting that the property owner failed to document the accurate personal details of Yadav and Anjali. Furthermore, Yadav had presented Anjali as his wife, although no official documentation supported this claim.
During the interrogation process, Yadav disclosed that his actual wife had tragically passed away six years prior due to a snake bite. Subsequently, he relocated to Delhi in search of livelihood opportunities. Approximately seven months ago, Yadav encountered Anjali, and they commenced cohabitating while concurrently engaging in labor-intensive work as laborers.
Following the perpetration of the crime, Yadav fled the scene, evading immediate apprehension by law enforcement. However, subsequent investigative efforts led to his arrest. The authorities have successfully recovered the hammer and belt purportedly utilized by Yadav in the commission of the heinous act. Presently, the suspect remains in custody as law enforcement officials continue to conduct thorough interrogations and investigations into the matter.Murder
