The Isha Foundation issued a statement updating his followers on the situation, indicating that Sadhguru’s condition had been progressively worsening due to severe headaches he had been experiencing for about four weeks prior to the surgery.

Despite the persistent pain, Sadhguru maintained his busy schedule, even conducting events like the MahaShivRatri celebrations on March 8, 2024. However, the severity of his headaches escalated dramatically upon his arrival in Delhi on March 14. Concerned about his deteriorating health, Sadh guru sought medical advice, which led to an urgent MRI examination. The results revealed a significant brain bleed, indicating both chronic bleeding and fresh bleeding in the hours leading up to the examination.

Despite the alarming diagnosis, Sadh guru initially resisted immediate hospitalization, choosing instead to fulfill his pending work commitments. However, his condition continued to worsen, and by March 17, he began experiencing weakness in his left leg and persistent vomiting, prompting his admission to the hospital. Upon admission, a CT scan uncovered a marked increase in brain swelling, along with a life-threatening shift of the brain to one side.
